Between social media and politics: propaganda in the Russian-Ukrainian war

Talk

April 25, 11:45–12:15

Pattenhalle - Bühne 1

More than two years ago, Russia launched a war of aggression against Ukraine. And now one thing is clear: propaganda is a big part of this war. Whether in official speeches by politicians or on TikTok - it reaches us everywhere. Where does the propaganda come from? What do we in Germany and people in Russia, for example, hear? And how can we protect ourselves from propaganda tricks? Ekaterina Astafeva is a journalist and often deals with fake news in her job. As a native Russian, however, she has had countless conversations about propaganda - including with her own family. "Between Social Media and Politics: Propaganda in the Russian-Ukrainian War" will be an informative and personal conversation - and of course you can ask your questions at the end!
