RED OCEAN rediscovers its roots in the guitar and pop music of the 60s, early 70s and 90s and condenses them in sophisticated productions into brute song worlds with the drama of film compositions and the catchiness of pop songs. An arc is drawn between "alternative" and "off-pop". The two types of music could not be more different - on the one hand (#Alternewtive) the rejection of the mainstream and aggressive rebellion, on the other hand #offpop, power ballads about love and longing wrapped in emotional and catchy pop melodies, which RED OCEAN combines on its first EP SNAPSHOTS as a kind of "curated snapshots".
