Mankel has been working in the music and events industry for many years. Since completing his studies in Latin American Studies in Cologne and various stays abroad (including Mexico, Spain, USA,
and Chile), he has been involved in running venues in his chosen home of Cologne, such as Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld and Yuca. He is a co-founder of the concert and artist agency Hush Hush and has been actively involved in Klubkomm, the interest group for Cologne's clubs scene since 2016. Since 2020, he has served as the 1st chairman of the association, representing the interests of the Cologne scene on a national level as an elected member of the Livekomm executive board. He is also co-founder of the Randale & Freunde Festival in Bonn.
