SOCIAL FU24BA7L - Barriers and Freedom

SOCIAL FU24BA7L - Barriers and Freedom

Panel

April 17, 16:30–17:30

Herbrand's - Stage 7

The second edition of FU24BA7L will take place during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, against the backdrop of a radically changed world. Stakeholders, institutions, and initiatives active in the critical intersections of soccer and society—such as education, remembrance culture, integration, and inclusion—have come under pressure in the media discourse, as well as financially and structurally.

In the panel “Barriers and Freedom,” we’ll talk with networkers and activists about their projects, new challenges, and what it takes to creatively confront the barriers within soccer’s systems and spaces. FU24BA7L – Festival for Football Culture is an interdisciplinary, pop-cultural event format that combines football culture with social issues such as education, sustainability, integration, diversity, and equal opportunity.

It is based on an idea by Tobias Thomas and is organized by c/o pop in collaboration with various project partners.

FU24BA7L – Festival for Soccer Culture is supported by the Bundeskanzleramt – Sport und Ehrenamt and the DFB Kulturstiftung.
