Uncertainty can be a great creative engine. zeck needed only a guitar and a few years to almost accidentally develop several streaming hits and his own language as an artist. Inspired by Milky Chance and Bon Iver, his second EP "FATAL FRAGILITY" breathes the danceability of modern indiepop productions without losing any of its intimate and sometimes relentlessly open emotional qualities: the self-doubt of starting over, the fear of rejection and the hope for the future. All this is put to music by zeck in five songs in such a haunting way that one almost forgets the origin of this story in the face of such ravishing indie/pop songs: a guitar, some coincidences and a lot of talent.
It all starts six years ago and an ordinary gift that sets unusual things in motion. Although zeck is too impatient for proper lessons on his new guitar, he gradually teaches himself one fingering after another. While casually making music at a friend's house, the song "More" is created based on one of zeck's riffs - the first time the then 21-year-old has ever sung. On a lark, the friends upload the song without any expectation. "If 500 people listened to the song, that would be pretty crass" zeck thinks to himself at the time. Today, "More" has over 1.3 million Spotify streams. "To this day, I don't know how that could happen." With a friend, zeck builds a small garage studio and after some time records his first EP "sorry, i've been asleep", which is released in 2020. Many fell in love with the unobtrusive songs with emotional lyrics. In the run-up to the release of his new EP "FATAL FRAGILITY", the singer goes on tour with indie through-starters Bruckner in September.
The EP "FATAL FRAGILITY" will be released in spring 2023.
zeck's concert is part of the project "Wunderkinder - German Music Talent 2023", in cooperation with the Reeperbahn Festival and supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
