Dutch promotional programme brings bands to NRW
In the last few years, particularly within the framework of the Europareise project, c/o pop has played an active role in promoting cultural exchange between European export offices and festivals worldwide. To tie in with Ruhr.2010, the Ruhr metropolis’ reign as European Capital of Culture, MusicXport.nl has now initiated the DTEP (Dutch Talent Exchange Programme).
DTEP is an innovative promotional programme which will effectively boost the music industry in both the Netherlands and NRW. Festivals in NRW will receive financial support for providing a platform for Dutch artists, and both the festivals themselves and the concerts by the Dutch artists will receive extra promotion in both Germany and the Netherlands.
As part of the EuroSonic Noorderslag Festival and Music Conference, the showcase festival for European acts, MusicXport.nl, working with c/o pop, has invited numerous representatives of festivals in NRW to Groningen to take part in an initial meeting with Dutch industry partners. As the most influential German industry gathering, c/o pop is supporting DTEP by offering the participants in the programme a forum for another meeting between industry representatives from NRW and the Netherlands, scheduled to take place in June.
